Getting to Campus

LAX Ground Transport

The best and most direct way to get to campus from the LAX airport is via Taxi or ride share. Most of these options for ground transportation require passengers to go to the LAXit station, which can be reached via a free shuttle. The shuttles run continuously and pickups occur at the pillars marked with the green LAXit logo located outside of the baggage claim locations at each terminal. Once at the LAXit, there are pedestrian lines for Taxis, Uber, and Lyft. Usually, due to surge pricing and surcharges, taxis are the most economical option (~$22 to campus). There are also other options for ground transport, including a curb side taxi option (which can be difficult to navigate to) and metro (but note the bus stop is outside of the campus entrance). Visitors can review these options here.

Vehicles Entering Campus

All visitors driving onto campus (including taxis and rideshares) must enter campus via the main entrance at LMU Drive off Lincoln Blvd (visitors vehicles are typically not permitted to enter via the Loyola Blvd entrance). If driving to campus to check in for housing, be sure to give the address to Daum Hall (Daum Hall, Loyola Marymount University, Whelan Ln, Los Angeles, CA 90045) and direct the drive to enter via LMU Drive. If driving to campus for the conference itself, you can enter via LMU Drive and navigate to the Featherston Life Sciences Building (Life Sciences Building, Ignatian Circle, Los Angeles, CA).

Pedestrians Entering Campus

Visitors on foot can enter campus via either LMU Drive or Loyola Blvd. Loyola Blvd is the most convenient entrance for pedestrians to use to get to conference events.

Parking On Campus

Visitor parking is available by the hour at a maximum of $20/day.

Payment can be made at various pay station kiosks located in the visitor parking areas. The most convenient parking for the conference is parking in the garage under the Featherston Life Sciences Building (D on the map). Alternatively the Hannon Lot (A on the map) is another close option.

Food Options

With the exception of early mornings, there are many options for food on campus and around LMU. Note that breakfast options are limited so be sure to plan ahead. Options for breakfast include Einstein Bagels (first floor of University Hall, opens at 0800*), Starbucks (next to the library, opens at 0800*), and The Lair (LMU’s dining hall, opens at 0700* (but also expensive)). Other options include purchasing some items in advance (Bristol Farms is a local grocery store) or going off campus for breakfast. And we will also be providing some light breakfast snacks on the mornings of 6/24 and 6/25.
